My winning image was selected for its originality, visual impact, and ability to connect viewers to the natural world. As part of this incredible honor, my photograph was exhibited at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., during their Nature’s Best Photography Exhibition in 2005 and again from 2013 through 2016. Seeing my work displayed in such an iconic setting, alongside other breathtaking images from around the globe, was a humbling and unforgettable experience.
This recognition fueled my passion for capturing the natural world’s essence and sharing it with others. It serves as a reminder of the power photography has to inspire awe, foster appreciation for our planet, and spark conversations about its preservation.
Winning this award remains a defining moment in my creative journey, and I’m grateful to have been part of such an esteemed celebration of nature’s beauty.
